June 22 - We went to The Spit in Homer. This is the very tip of the peninsula. It is a narr
ow piece of land that is lined with little shops and stands that are only open in June, July and August. There is a nice hotel at the end of The Spit. We walked along the beach and collected rocks (no seashells!). We found lots of different colors and shapes of rocks. They are in a planter outside our condo now. They take VERY little care.As we were walking along The Spit we came upon a halibut charter that had just returned with their catch. It was interesting to watch them display and clean the fish.
